“Duffers here. The writing does not stop when filming begins. While we are excited to start production with our incredible cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike,” they indicated through their official series writers account. “We hope that a fair agreement will be reached soon so that we can all return to work. Until then, over and out,” they added.

On the situation of screenwriters in Hollywood

Given the lack of updates on the salaries of its workers, the Hollywood Writers Union began a demonstration against the large chains and studios, in order to reach an agreement that guarantees them economic compensation equivalent to the roles to be played.

“We screenwriters don’t earn enough. We just want a little more than what we’ve been offered,” screenwriter Louis Jones, representing his colleagues, told AFP from the protest in front of the Netflix studios.
