Integration between Spotify and Strava is announced! Users can now control their music from the streaming service within Strava!
O Strava is gaining integration with the Spotify, music streaming service. Now there is a widget that allows the user to control the playback of music, podcasts and audiobooks (audiobooks). In a press release, the developer says that the novelty is now available for both free and premium users and brings more convenience, since there is no longer any need to switch between two apps during training.
You can now listen to your Spotify music within Strava
Strava users can now access Spotify directly from the app’s recording screen using a dedicated button at the bottom left corner, as you can see in the screenshots below. With this, you will be able to listen to your favorite playlist while performing your exercises and follow your training performance with all the information and controls gathered on a single screen.
Mateo Ortega, Vice President of Connected Partnerships at Strava, says:
Over time, music consumption has dramatically evolved from CDs to streaming, which has opened the door for audio to inspire us in ways it couldn’t before. We’re excited to partner with a global leader like Spotify to seamlessly integrate music and motion into the platform. This new feature further solidifies Strava’s position at the center of connected fitness and continues to demonstrate the power of the global community of active people on Strava.
