As expected, Street Fighter 6 was further unveiled during a dedicated showcase to learn more about the World Tour, the creation of avatars, future DLCs and the demo available now… but not for everybody.
The World Tour and the creation of avatars
One of the big pieces of this new opus is clearly the World Tour mode. This experience with RPG components will make it possible to develop a created avatar, in particular by training it through various trials and fights.
As surprising as it may seem, the character will evolve through a skill tree and can spend their money to obtain consumables and gifts. These can be given to legendary Street Fighter fighters to strengthen the bond between them and the avatar.
The interest of this experience then lies in the Battle Hub, allowing you to face the avatars of other players online, also with movesets and personalized appearances.
A free demo available now on PlayStation
Good news if you were hoping to get your hands on Street Fighter 6 long before its release. Capcom has formalized a free demo, but only available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 at this time. Owners of an Xbox Series X|S or a PC will have to wait until April 26.
This demo offers a taste of the full experience, but still allows you to train with Ryu and Luke, to immerse yourself in the possibilities offered by avatar creation, but also to take a first step in the mode. World Tour.
The first official DLCs
Capcom took advantage of this showcase to lift the veil on the 4 fighters who will join the roster during the first year of the game’s life, for a small ticket of course.
The next fighters of Street Fighter 6
- Rashid: summer 2023.
- AKI : automne 2023.
- Ed: winter 2023.
- Akuma: Spring 2024.
They will also be integrated into the World Tour mode, giving avatars the opportunity to learn their movestets, but also to strengthen their bonds with them. These 4 fighters will be included in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
Street Fighter 6 is slated for release June 2 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
