It may not come as a shock as this is more the rule than the exception when it comes to fighting games these days. Several others in the genre have been developed with e-sports in mind and with Street Fighter 6 Capcom wants to follow that train and according to Capcom themselves, they have taken it seriously.

It was in a recent interview that Capcom’s Haruhiro Tsujimoto revealed that the decision was made early in the game’s development to focus on e-sports and that the development was very much adapted to that.

Haruhiro Tsujimoto Säger så här:
“Capcom is also focusing on esports, but when I first worked on Street Fighter 4, such a culture had not yet taken root in Japan, and JeSU was finally launched while Street Fighter 5 was being developed. Street Fighter 6 was developed from the beginning with the development of e-sports in mind, so I expect it to be very exciting.”

Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2nd for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC, and a demo is already available on all platforms.

Street Fighter 6 will be well suited for eSports when it releases on June 2nd.
