The Hasenfeld Middle School was able to transfer 365.00 euros to the Red Cross Youth through the sale of tea in Advent and donations from the teaching staff and the management. A lot can be achieved with the commitment of volunteer schoolgirls who take care of the sale.
The donation of the 2019/20 school year (then Corona came) to the Red Cross Youth was used for the UGANDA aid project “Hygiene and sanitary facilities for schools”. Lack of clean water and inadequate sanitation remains one of the biggest health problems in overcrowded refugee camps. In close cooperation with the government and other partners, the Red Cross built sanitary facilities that can prevent the spread of diseases.
