VfB Stuttgart are looking for reinforcements on the winter transfer market. The eyes of the Swabians wander in the direction of the capital. Union Berlin’s Genki Haraguchi has impressed the VfB officials.
As ‘Sky’ reports, talks have already taken place between those responsible for the two Bundesliga clubs. The 31-year-old Japanese only plays a subordinate role for the Köpenickers, but still makes 18 appearances across all competitions. Haraguchi has yet to record a goal or assist this season.
According to the TV broadcaster’s report, things are hot for Haraguchi and Stuttgart. It seems logical that VfB want to follow up after the start of the second half of the season with two draws against Mainz 05 (1:1) and TSG Hoffenheim (2:2). The 74-time Japan international could also serve as an experienced and creative option for coach Bruno Labbadia in the relegation battle.
