Subject raped and killed a girl; brothers helped bury her but one confessed

Genesis Anayeli Ixcajoc Cristóbal7 years old, was playing on the first afternoon of 2023 together with his friends outside his home located in the city of Peronia in Villa Nueva, Guatemala, when was kidnapped by a man who took her to an abandoned house where he sexually abused of her and then kill her.

It turned out that the relatives of Genesis began to look for her with the help of their neighbors, who located the main suspects of the crimeThey were three brothers.

Edwin Giovanni Chamalé Elías, 28 years old, Luis Ángel, 30, and Jairo Daniel, 33, who they were held by the people for them to confess where the minor was.

The Chamalé Elías brothers were known by the neighbors as some troublesome people having quarrels with several of them, but especially they carried out greater abuses against women. They were all engaged in doing jobs on construction sites.

The neighbors went to the place, and there, they saw Genesis lifeless who was inside an abandoned house located in an alley where the girl used to play with her friends. The victim’s body was half buried with a layer of cement to try to cover it.

After the discovery, the three brothers ran the risk of being lynched by people who were angry at seeing the crime that ended the girl’s life, but they were saved from being attacked, as they were arrested by the Guatemalan National Civil Police. around 11:00 p.m.

Police investigations revealed that the person guilty of committing the crime – whose name was not revealed – was under the influence of alcohol or any drug at the time he sexually abused the girl and then strangled her, confirmed the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) of Guatemala.

They demand justice for the raped and strangled minor

The victim’s grandmother demanded justice for the guilty to serve a sentence in jail. Genesis was a girl who liked to play, her grandmother described.

“Let’s hope that justice is done because they took my little angel from me,” he said.

“I loved her very much, she was so little. She just wanted to play with clay, playing with her friends, she had no dreams of studying, just playing. She liked her chocolates, she was very affectionate, very loved by the neighbors, ”she said.

In carrying out the investigation, the police found in the abandoned house where they found Genesis, a pink backpack and beer cans. The crime is investigated as femicide. The brothers remain as detainees.
