The Police investigated an attack, reported on Tuesday night, in the Doctor Pila residence, in Ponce.
According to preliminary information, a call through the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted to an injured woman. When the district agents appeared, the victim was interviewed, who alleged that two men broke the gate, the lock on the main door and the window of the living room of her apartment and gained access to the interior.
Then, the men allegedly attacked the woman in the face with wooden sticks, which caused an open wound and trauma to different parts of her body.
The victim was treated by paramedics and transported to an area hospital unit where she was evaluated and several stitches were taken.
Agent Óscar Rivera together with agent Almodóvar from technical services, who took photos and seized evidence.
This case was referred to the Assault Division of the Ponce Criminal Investigation Unit for its corresponding investigation.
