From December 28th to 30th, 2022, the SVG was able to hold the planned ski courses after a careful examination of the snow conditions and possibilities.
Thanks to the support of Bergbahnen Brandnertal, the children’s ski course (4-6 years) offered for the first time could be relocated to Schedlerhof in Brand. This turned out to be the perfect fallback. The children’s ski course team, led by Julia Rederer, enabled the 30 participants to gain initial experience with skis and was able to achieve great success.
The course for ages 6 and up with 40 participants (including 2 snowboarders) took place on the Bürserberg. Divided into small groups, the proven team led by Fredi Sieberer made great progress despite the poor snow conditions. Thanks to Harald Hiebaum’s kitchen team, there was always an excellent and strengthening meal at lunchtime.
The beaming faces of both courses when they were rewarded with a medal at the end were and are the greatest reward for the 40-strong team. The SVG would like to thank everyone involved for this successful event and is looking forward to a hopefully snowier rest of the season. Shi hail!
