Ibrahim Driss: a talented Algerian artist who overcame many obstacles to get where he is today. Former rapper and actor, he recently participated in the Algerian television series which met with great success, “Eddama“. During his appearance on the television channel Echorouk TV through the program Hna Fi Remdan, hosted by Kada Benamer, Ibrahim shared behind the scenes of his participation in this series as well as his personal challenges.

According to the revelations of Ibrahim Driss, the latter began his artistic career in music as a rapper. And this, in the 2000s. However, an accident caused hearing loss which forced him to wear a hearing aid. Despite this, “Hamza” pursued his passion for music, but eventually gave up his career as a rapper and decided to pursue acting.

Starting to work as an actor, Ibrahim also encountered some difficulties in this field, including marginalization in the artistic industry. In detail, he was removed from two productions because of his hearing problem. As a result, he completely lost hope and even broke the device he was carrying in his ear.

During the beginning of the casting for the Eddama series, “Hamza” finally managed to get an opportunity to participate. And this, thanks to the director Yahia Mouzahem, who chose him to play a role in “Eddama“. As a reminder, Hamza played the role of brother of Saliha Tchaklala (Aida Ababsa).

Ibrahim Driss said this opportunity was a turning point for his career. Thus, he expressed his gratitude to the entire Eddama team “for their support and encouragement, which helped him overcome his personal difficulties and give the best of himself in his role.
