Suicide Squad has finally shown up and brought us the perfect explosive game-service kit, but it’s very clearly not going to please fans.
After a lackluster Gotham Knights, the other big piece of the DC Universe video game was eagerly awaited. Especially since at the controls of this Suicide Squad we still find Rocksteady, a studio whose popularity rating literally exploded with the Batman Arkham series. The expectations were therefore very high, but the fans, already angry about the game-service dimension, risk quickly becoming disillusioned.
Suicide Squad plays it uninhibited
Yes, we finally had the right to a big session of gameplay and a ton of info, but it could be a real cold shower for many fans. Gone are the brutal battles of Arkham and the dark and intriguing Gothic Gotham, say hello to all-out explosions, flashy colors and jumps of several tens of meters. The game goes all-out fun and asks the anti-heroes to attack large fluorescent purple pustules stuck to tanks, in addition to using and abusing antics to make any hero fly around in the sky. We must admit that we did not expect it.
A pure and hard service game
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League should indeed be a pure blood service game and will also be fully playable in cooperation up to 4. The developers have already announced the arrival of post-launch content and plan to put a battle pass online as soon as release of the game, fortunately only stuffed with cosmetics.
It will be possible to control 4 iconic anti-heroes of the license: King Shark, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang. Each hero will have their own signature skills and weapons and can be customized from head to toe. The loot will also be of paramount importance since it will allow you to optimize your stats and diversify the gameplay approaches. It remains to be seen how it will all fit together and especially if everything will live up to expectations.
However, there is still a little time left in the game to seduce and show us what he really has in his stomach since Suicide Squad is expected for May 26, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
