OCS lost the rights to HBO content on the 1er January 2023, Amazon Prime Video retrieves them. Prime Video’s masterstroke

Even if the Amazon rumor had been running for several weeks, this partnership has something new. In the United States, where the Warner Bros. Discovery offers a service called HBO Max (which it wants to replace with another service), an alliance between Amazon and Warner seems impossible.

The unavailability of HBO content for several days suggested that no one was going to pick it up until the official launch of the service from Warner Bros. Discovery in France, which worried fans of The Last of Us. Finally, it was Amazon who was in negotiations with the American group. From Monday 16 January, a new episode of The Last of Us will air weekly on Prime Video, for all subscribers to the streaming service. France is, to our knowledge, the only country where The Last of Us is available on Prime Video.
