The Berlin police arrested a suspected arsonist near a burning car in Berlin-Hellersdorf.
According to initial investigations, a witness observed around 3.15 a.m. on Monday night how a person was tampering with a parked car on Klausdorfer Straße, the police said. Then he noticed flames under the vehicle. The man called the police. Officials then found a 40-year-old nearby and arrested him.
The fire in the car went out on its own. However, property damage was caused by the heat. (dpa)
