On Monday, the trial started which, among other things, concerns the Ängö word in Kalmar. But when the main hearing was to begin, one of the three accused men had not appeared and the trial had to be interrupted.

The 27-year-old man who, among other things, is suspected of the shooting at an apartment on Proviantgatan almost a year ago would have participated via video link but did not appear.

The trial resumes

Police were sent to collect the man but he was not at his home and the 27-year-old was arrested in his absence.

The man is listed at an address in Norrköping and according to the prosecutor, the 27-year-old was later arrested in Linköping. But why he did not participate on Monday is unclear.

– I don’t want to comment on that, says Kjell Jannesson.

How was the arrest made?

– The man himself contacted an investigating police officer and came in more or less voluntarily, says Kjell Jannesson.

According to Kjell Jannesson, the 27-year-old will be remanded in custody on Tuesday, and on Wednesday the recently started trial is expected to continue.
