Although Disney and Scarlett Johansson fell out a couple of years ago, when Johansson wanted better compensation for her work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there seems to be no bad blood left between the two parties.
Evidence of that comes from the fact that the previously announced Tower of Terror movie, based on the famous DisneyWorld attraction, is still in production with Johansson at the helm and attached as a producer through her company These Pictures. During an interview with Variety recently, Johansson talked a little more about the project and then commented on the direction.
In the interview, it appears that Taika Waititi will be directing the film, which is still a surprise since the filmmaker has quite a busy schedule, where Waititi is said to be engaged to make a Star Wars film, an adaptation of Time Bandits for Apple TV+, and and with a new version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on behalf of Netflix. How and when Tower of Terror fits into this is still unclear.
