Ciudad Victoria, Mexico.- The 36 local representatives from Tamaulipas, who each earn a monthly salary of almost 80,000 pesos, between salary and bonuses, took advantage of the Easter holidays and took a 16-day mega-bridge.

The last session was held on March 29 and the next will be this Thursday, April 13.

This session was attended by 33 of the 36 legislators, which lasted approximately one hour.

Even yesterday, students from the Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade and Customs from the Polytechnic University of Victoria attended the State Congress as part of their professional training and were received by their staff in the absence of the deputies.

The students toured the property and held an “academic” session to learn about the legislative process and the functions of their social representatives.

The Tamaulipas Congress is led by the local deputy from Morena Úrsula Patricia Salazar Mojica, niece of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Usually, the sessions are held between Monday and Tuesday of each week, but this time they scheduled it for Thursday.

According to the 2023 Tamaulipas expense budget, the monthly salary of a local deputy amounts to 15,637 pesos, plus a bonus of 62,864 pesos, for a total of 78,501 pesos per month.
