Widely known among travelers, Airbnb can be considered as a great option for those looking for accommodation in hotels, hostels, hostels and even entire apartments around the world.

But do you know how to find a good accommodation on the app? Below you can find some tips and a complete step-by-step on how to find the perfect hosting for you on the platform!

In addition to being able to bring you closer to local people, delivering a unique experience that could be difficult to achieve in a hotel in a tourist area, Airbnb can provide you with the ideal accommodation for your trip. But what to take into account when choosing a location in the app?

What to take into consideration

In order not to spoil your trip due to bad accommodation, you need to pay attention to some points.

First, figure out what your needs are.. How many people are you traveling with? Do you want just one room or an entire apartment? Are you taking pets? Do you need the accommodation to have a private bathroom, wi-fi, air conditioning, elevator and bath towels available?

• With Airbnb open on your device in the tab “To explore”, touch the search field located at the top of the screen;
• Enter a destination, travel dates and number of guests. With everything ready, tap on “Search”. The app will display a list of suggested accommodations according to the data entered.
  • If you don’t know the dates yet or are looking for the best prices, leave the dates as flexible.

• Now, tap on the settings icon located at the top of the screen, inside the search bar. This is where you will apply the desired filters;
• Navigate through the filters screen indicating your preferences. Let us know the amount you would like to pay, the type of place, number of rooms and beds, accessibility, amenities, etc. As you apply the filters, you will see that the number of accommodations decreases;
• With everything ready, tap the “Show [N] accommodations”.

Accommodations that meet the selected filters will be shown. If desired, return to the filters screen to inform something that you forgot or to remove any of the requirements that you do not consider so essential.

In addition to price, accommodation and amenities, check out the reservations section. If you are in urgent need of accommodation, for example, opt for instant booking. On the other hand, if you are not sure about the trip, look for hosts that allow free cancellation.
