A few days after the announcement al CES 2023 of the first PlayStation accessible controller, ie Project Leonardo, Sony has clarified some doubts of the fans. More specifically, the Japanese giant spoke about the platforms with which the new device will be compatible.

The editorial staff of Game Developer (well-known portal known until some time ago with the name Gamasutra) has in fact contacted Sony for some clarification regarding the compatibility of Project Leonardo with the PC, the old generation consoles PlayStation and even Xbox. The company’s response was clear: the new controller designed to break down barriers was created specifically for PlayStation 5 and, at least for now, it will not be compatible with other devices. This means that not even PC gamers will be able to take advantage of the hardware in question, although it cannot be excluded that users will be able to find some system to get around this limitation and make it compatible within a few days.

While waiting to find out more details on the peripheral, we remind you that Project Leonardo should do for Sony what Microsoft’s adaptive controller does for Xbox One and Series X|S.
