HANFORD, California – After several days in critical condition, the 15-year-old boy who was shot Monday during a shooting at a party has died, Hanford authorities said.

A shot to the head kept the minor between life and death at the Community Regional Medical Center until he succumbed to his injuries.

Shortly before 11 pm on June 12, while a party was being held at a house in the 1300 block of Hoover Way in Hanford, two suspects opened fire on the victim.

James Lutz of the local police said it could not yet be confirmed if the teenager was indeed the target of this shooting.

On the other hand, authorities identified the suspects involved in this shooting, being detained this Thursday. They are Isac Canchola-Rizo, 20, and an unidentified 15-year-old minor, who remain in custody at the Kings County Jail.

Hanford police are investigating a shooting Monday night.
