According to a publication made by Telegram late Thursday afternoon on the social network Twitter, the company received an email from SENACON only on April 20th and had its official response filed 1 business day later (April 24th ). Below is the timeline image shared on Twitter to explain what happened.

That is, contrary to what had been said by the Minister of Justice, Telegram did not fail in its commitment to respond to the request for information when it actually happened. Telegram even published screenshots of the communications sent by SENACON, showing what was said in the documentation.

On the same day that SENACON sent the email to Telegram (April 20), the instant messaging application was sued for failing to meet the stipulated deadline to provide information about neo-Nazi groups that would be involved in an attack in the city of Aracruz (ES), where a 16-year-old youth killed four people. Then, on April 26, the Directorate of Intelligence of the Federal Police (PF) said that a statement was sent to the telephone operators Vivo, Claro, Tim and Oi, in addition to the companies Apple and Google, where they spoke about the suspension of Telegram in Brazil. On the 27th, the application is blocked in several regions of the country, due to the alleged refusal to collaborate with the PF investigation.

This suggests that there may have been a boycott of Telegram, as none of the other companies were penalized.
