Today, over 200 frozen bodies or heads lie waiting for science to catch up.

One of those who hope for “life after death” is Swedish Anders Sandberg, futurist at Future of humanity institute at Oxford University. He has signed an agreement to undergo cryonics treatment when he dies.

– The idea with cryonics is that if you cannot save a patient today, maybe there are future medicines that can help patients from what today would be said to be certain death, explains Anders Sandberg in Morgonstudion.

And that’s exactly what Anders hopes for – that his head will somehow be able to be revived in several decades. It costs one million kroner, a cost Anders pays through his life insurance.

Hear Anders explain the technique and what he hopes to wake up to in the clip.
