John Cho and Ken Jeong join Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao for a new investigation.
While Across the Spider-Verse a hit in the cinema, Lord and Miller will return to the small screen with their series The Afterpartywhich returns to Apple TV+ for season 2. A new mystery, new characters and of course a new murder will animate the 10 episodes as revealed in the trailer (below).
In season 2, “A ceremony turns to disaster when the groom is murdered and all the guests become suspects. Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish) returns to help Aniq (Sam Richardson) and Zoë (Zoë Chao) solve the mystery by questioning the members of the family, the star-crossed lovers and associates, and by collecting the testimonies of each suspect, each giving a different version and with their own visual style.“
Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao reprise their roles for this new season and are joined in the cast by John Cho, Paul Walter Hauser, Ken Jeong, Anna Konkle, Poppy Liu, Elizabeth Perkins, Jack Whitehall, Zach Woods and Vivian Wu.
The first two of season 2 of The Afterparty will be available on Wednesday July 12, 2023, followed by a new episode every week until September 6, on Apple TV+ and also on MyCanal and Canal+.
