The National Senate approved this Thursday, in its first parliamentary session of 2023, the appointment of federal judges to fill three vacancies in the province of Santa Fe. The specifications were endorsed unanimously with 63 affirmative votes from the ruling party and the opposition.

These are designations Gaston Alberto Salmain (Federal Court of First Instance No. 1 of Rosario), Elena Beatriz Dilario and Eduardo Daniel Rodrigues da Cruz (both for the Chamber of the Federal Criminal Oral Court No. 2 of Rosario), whose appointments had been endorsed by the Agreements Commission on September 15.

During the session, the president of the Agreements Committee, Anabel Fernández Sagasti, referred to the city of Rosario as “a jurisdiction that is going through a delicate moment” as a result of drug trafficking.

Sagasti demanded that the opposition agree to the appointment of other applicants whose files await to be processed and expressed that his “bloc is willing to bring the venue dozens of sheets with an opinion to fill vacancies in the Judiciary in several provinces”.
