The president of the United States, Joe Biden, arrived in Mexico on the night of January 8 aboard Air Force One. However, that is not the only official vehicle that will accompany him during his stay in Aztec lands.
This car, considered as “a moving fortress”, was manufactured by the General Motors company especially to provide the greatest possible security to the president of the United States.
The first president to enjoy the protection of the Cadillac One was Barack Obama, in 2009. The version currently used by Joe Biden was manufactured during the Donald Trump government and released in 2018.
What are the characteristics of “The Beast”?

- It weighs between seven and nine tons and has armor —both doors and glass— of up to 12 centimeters, so it can resist attacks from 44 Magnum caliber.
- It has agile suspension and great maneuverability, making it useful for fleeing from any possible threat.
- The interior of “The Beast” has at least one pump-action shotgun, night vision equipment, and tear gas grenades.
- Added to this, the tires have a coating of materials used in helmets and military vests, so they can continue moving even if they were to deflate.
- It uses diesel because it is a less volatile and dangerous fuel than conventional gasoline. In addition, it is presumed that the hydrocarbon tank is sealed with foam to avoid any possible explosion in case of receiving a direct hit.

In the hypothetical case that one of the defense mechanisms fails and the president is injured, inside the limousine there is a reserve of blood and a briefcase with the necessary data to order a “forceful response” to an attack.
