On the starting line, there were sixteen candidates struggling to win this 2023 edition of the Best Pastry Chef. During the first broadcast of the season of the M6 show, it was Lilou and Richard who were eliminated. The two candidates then faced each other in Mercotte’s secret kitchen which, like the Secret Brigade from Top Chef, will allow an eliminated person to return to the competition within a few weeks. And it was ultimately Richard who won the duel and therefore found himself on reprieve. On Wednesday September 20, he then faced the eliminated from the second episode: Christelle. But the latter gave in and left the adventure definitively. But there is still a long way to go for Richard as the third episode approaches this Wednesday, September 27.

On today’s program: a great trip to the heart of the Mediterranean for the candidates of the Best Pastry Chef. The first stopover of this beautiful taste cruise took place in Italy. For this stage, the participants had to prepare a tiramisu. If this delicacy appears as one of the French’s favorite desserts, during the test, the pastry chefs strongly hated it. For two candidates in particular, Monique and Thibault, this ordeal was catastrophic. The dean returned her dessert without its chocolate shell, and Thibaut an unmolded dessert. Result: both finished “Flop”. For these two pastry chefs, it was urgent to catch up. Unfortunately, they did not shine either during the technical test in Mercotte: Monique came 10th and Thibault 9th. For the last event, Thibault saved his skin, better yet, he was Pierre Hermé’s favorite. It was therefore Monique who was eliminated from the competition because of her difficulties in numerous tests.
