The Big Bang Theory: why Raj is left alone at the end of the series?

The real reason Raj ended up single in The Big Bang Theory

Why doesn’t Raj, whose interpreter was almost fired from the start, have the right to happiness? The reason is very simple. “Raj continuing to look for love is more satisfying for me than finding someone properly at the end of the series”, explained Bill Prady at first. Before continuing: “The decision to say: ‘I will wait for the right person, and I believe the right person is there’ is a really cool ending. I like the fact that we kind of left the characters where we had known them.” A way to make the end less utopian therefore.

Whether some fans are disappointed with the fate imposed on Raj, Kunal Nayyarwho embodied his character for twelve years, completely validates it. “I find it quite poignant that the only character who believed in love so much is the one who, in the end, can’t find it. It’s beautiful! It doesn’t have to be so mechanical and it’s exactly what I loved about the show, things don’t have to end in a set way,” he assured the microphone of Metro.
