“The Boogeyman: The Boogeyman”film of 20th Century Studios that will take the story of Stephen KingAmerica’s most popular contemporary horror auteur, has released his first official trailer.
Directed by Rob Savage (“Host”), the preview begins by showing, on the one hand, the innocence of a girl who tells her father that she sleeps with flashlights for fear of that who hides behind the closet, and the fear it provokes.
The film then follows two sisters who “see themselves threatened by a supernatural being, while their father tries to keep the family afloat after the tragic death of his wife and mother,” as the synopsis develops.
Written by Scott Beck Y Bryan Woods (“A Quiet Place”) and mark hayman (“The Black Swan”), has the main performances by Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets), Chris Messina (“Birds of prey”), Vivien Lyra Blair (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”), marin ireland (“The Umbrella Academy”), Madison Hu (“Bizaardvark”), LisaGay Hamilton (“The Vice President: Beyond Power”), along with the special participation of David Dastmalchian (“The Suspicion”, “Batman: The Dark Knight”, “Dune”).
The story was first published in 1973 and is part of “The Threshold of Night” (“Night Shift”, 1978), King’s fourth book: a compilation of 20 horror stories, with influences on the literature of HP Lovecraft (mainly “The mysteries of the worm”, the first).

“The Boogeyman: El Hombre de la Bolsa” opens on June 1 in Argentine theaters, a change of plans from the first intentions that ensured its launch on the Hulu streaming platform.
