Much more than a film partner, the latter was the lover of the then 22-year-old Gwyneth Paltrow.
“I was heartbroken when we broke up”
Tuesday, May 2, Gwyneth Paltrow was the guest of the podcast Call Her Daddy by podcaster Alexandra Cooper. During the interview, the 50-year-old actress opened up about her relationship with Brad Pitt, which lasted from 1994 to 1997: “Looking back, I was really a kid, much more so than most 22- or 24-year-olds I meet today. I hadn’t really explored who I was, which was important to me. me, what were my limits.” Gwyneth Paltrow then returned to her painful separation from Angelina Jolie’s ex-boyfriend: “I was heartbroken when we broke up. It was the right thing to do at the time, but it was really one of those difficult things, where I felt like, ‘Oh my God, not only am I not ready, but I’m not up to par again.’ It was a familiar refrain that I felt about myself.” Subsequently, Brad Pitt got into a relationship with Jennifer Aniston, the famous Rachel of Friends with whom he remained until 2005.

In this interview, Gwyneth Paltrow, also made a comparison between Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck with whom she was in a relationship for three years. Two men who obviously counted a lot in his life: “Brad was the sort of chemistry major, love of your life, sort of, at the time. And then Ben was, like, technically excellent.” Since then, Gwyneth Paltrow has married producer Brad Falchuk and stepfather to her two children, Apple and Moses, whom she had with ex-husband Chris Martin.
