“The Rock” received such a message on Thursday: The police called the action star around three in the morning to tell him that his beloved mother Ata had been involved in a serious car accident in Los Angeles the night before. Ata survived the crash – fortunately!

On Instagram, Johnson posted a picture of his mother’s red Cadillac with severe damage to the passenger side from a collision. The Rock had given the car to his mother in 2021. How exactly the accident happened is not yet known.
The actor wrote: “Thank God she’s okay. Guardian angels watched over my mom last night. She will survive and remains under medical supervision.”

His mother “survived lung cancer, a difficult marriage, a collision with a drunk driver and a suicide attempt,” The Rock said in the post.
“She is a survivor in a way that makes angels and miracles a reality.”
In 2018, The Rock spoke about his mother’s suicide attempt in an interview, which he mentions in the current post. He was only 15 years old at the time. At that point, the family had been given notice of their apartment, and financially they were in bad shape. Too much for Mama Ata.
“My mother got out of her car in the middle of the freeway and ran into traffic,” Johnson recalled. “I grabbed her and pulled her back to the shoulder.”
To this day, his mother cannot remember what happened. Yes, according to Johnson: “It’s probably for the best.”
The actor also mentioned the Los Angeles Police Department and Fire Department in the Instagram post. “Thank you for staying on the phone and helping me with everything.”
Finally, “The Rock” appeals to its 361 million followers: “I only have one parent left. So if you still have your mom and dad, hug them tight. Because you never know when you might get that 3 a.m. call that none of us want.”
Dwayne Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson, passed away in 2020.
