Striking Distance Studios’ debut title The Callisto Protocol has so far missed its sales target by a wide margin.

This in turn has a negative effect on the share price of parent company Krafton, reports the Korean side MK Odyssey.

Still reason for optimism?

According to the site, The Callisto Protocol cost around $161.5 million to produce over three years.

Krafton expected to sell around five million copies of the sci-fi survival horror game.

More news on The Callisto Protocol:

So far, however, only around two million copies have been sold. In view of this, one assumes that it “will not be easy” to reach this milestone.

The reviews of the game were mixed. The MK Odyssey report blames the single player focus and the resulting short playing time.
