Jamaica is crying for another Marley musician.

Joseph Mersa Marley, grandson of world-renowned reggae icon Bob Marley, has died aged just 31, according to “ TMZreported. The exact circumstances of his untimely death are not yet clear, but it is said to have something to do with his asthma.

Joseph spent his childhood in Jamaica, the family moved to Miami when he was 11 years old. It was also there that Joseph went to Miami Dade College to become a sound engineer.

Music was a natural part of the Marley family and as a child he sang with his father Stephen and uncle Ziggy Marley. Joseph began writing his own music at school. It’s sad that the melody has now fallen silent.
