Training of Metro traffic controllers in C5 facilities

The National Union of Workers of the Collective Transport System (SNTSTC) rejected since last year the installation of the new Central Control Post (PCC) in the Command, Control, Computing, Communications and Citizen Contact Center (C5), because it considered that the operation of lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 could be jeopardized.

In a document sent to the general directorate of the (STC), last February, and in a fact sheet distributed to the media in November, the union warned of failures in Tetra communication.

“The location of the PCC equipment and personnel proposed by the agency’s authorities by sending the traffic regulators to the C5 building, which is far from the other facilities, rooms and offices involved in the operation and maintenance of the system, would distance it from lines 1 to 6, which must be supervised and controlled, which could jeopardize their proper operation, in addition to complicating decision-making and established procedures, such as the command and control of electric power , since at the beginning of the service of these lines, if incidents or accidents occur, it would not be in a position to intervene quickly and safely, because the traffic control regulators must coordinate with the cargo dispatch regulators , which would be located in the Delicias complex, in the Buen Tono Substation.

“It should be noted that in the event of an unforeseen event during the provision of the service, by not having the right personnel in the proposed work area, it can cause poor service,” says the letter they sent.
