It was in 2019 when the British duo made up of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simmons released their most recent record material, No Geography. Since then, The Chemical Brothers have been performing all over the world and thankfully, this year they are back with music fresh from the oven and other even more exciting plans.
The Chemical Brothers are back with “Live Again”, a song for the dance floor
At the beginning of March of this 2023, The Chemical Brothers surprised us by premiering “No Reason”, their first song in two years. Almost a month later they released “All Of A Sudden” and recently gave themselves a spectacular performance at the Glastonbury festival. However, it seems that They still have a lot of music to share with us, having just released the single “Live Again”.
The truth is that this track –with the participation of the French artist Halo Maud– perfectly represents the feeling of being on a dance floor. The Chemical Brothers start the song slow, and little by little they increase the intensity, with a beat that explodes after a minute and a half, and immediately invites us to the party and to take out the forbidden steps. As if releasing “Live Again” wasn’t enough, The Chemical Brothers also announced a project that hardcore fans of the duo will undoubtedly love. It turns out that Ed Simmons and Tom Rowlands teamed up with British author Robin Turner to launch Paused in Cosmic Reflectiona book that will tell us the history of this great group and the biography of its members.
In addition to having testimonials from The Chemical Brothers, this book will include the contributions of several important collaborators of the duoas Beck, Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips and himself Noel Gallagher. So we’re already savoring those crazy anecdotes and stories that these top musicians have with Tom and Ed, having worked with them for many years.
