Confirmed: The Copa América 2024 will be played in the United States. It will be played in June with 16 teams: 10 from Conmebol and the best six from Concacaf, which will qualify via the 2023/24 Nations League.
The competition system will be like this: four groups of four teams, the first two of each classify and from there the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals are played.
With the United States with the secured ticket for being the host, it is exciting in Mexico and Canada to compete again in the highest South American competition, as in the Centennial Cup held in 2016.
This Cup was to be played in Ecuador, or failing that in Argentina -because of the one that moved to Brazil in 2021 and that we won at the Maracana- but one of the hosts of the 2026 World Cup won the arm wrestling match.
