“The Courage of Being Wrong” is a multidisciplinary proposal that consists of four chapters. The first will premiere this Friday, April 21 at 8:30 p.m. at the Ferretería Bar Cultural (57 between 11 and 12) with sold out tickets.

The first chapter is “The Allegory of the Cave” and has 15 artists from the City behind it. It is not just a musical show, but attendees will find theatre, dance, opera, stage design and an audiovisual production.

Participates in the band “Entretantos rock”, in addition to Lumpenbola, Ines Pacheco, Rodrigo Zito, Julian Goycochea, Nicolas “Cholo” Ceballos, Francisco Zuccarelo, Sergio “Immortal” Niccoletti, Emmanuel Fuentes, Maria Laura Martorell, Fernando Alvar Nunez, Franco Blanky, Lucia “Gina” Arreche, Pelliccia Rosana Ynfante, Vanina Ynfante, Luis Facundo Castillo, Leyla Fesaalp, Pato Knight, Carla Chamorro, Brenda Crossbow and Jesus Maria “Tito” Plaza.

At the end of the work there will be a story by Jesús María “Tito” Plaza, lawyer, philosopher and distinguished citizen of La Plata. In addition, he is a former member of the Solar Flower Brotherhood between the 60s and 70s.

All the staging, said the artist Lumpenbola, has to do with “a philosophical thought, based on the title of ‘The Allegory of the Cave’, by Plato, and that is trying to bring it down to earth in the times we are living in” . This is where the songs of Entretantos come into play, with lyrics “more from the neighborhood, from neighborhood and common situations that generally go unnoticed by the media or the people.”

“And in this case we want to highlight what is passing by and give it a slightly more philosophical framework about what we are distracted by, who is the prisoner, who is free,” added Lumpenbola.

Regarding the choice of the work, he explained: “It refers us to this thing about the slaves who are in a cave, where they have a projection on the wall and they believe they are in reality until one of them escapes from the cave.” “Hence asking what is real, what is not, what we are subjected to, what is not, and transfer it to this work,” he added.

This project, which emerged last year between talk and talk. The three remaining dates will take place this year. The second part will be “The Condemnation of the Gods”, from the Myth of Sisyphus; the third is “God is dead” by Friedrich Nietzsche; and the letter is “Alienated” by Marx.

It is a self-management project, made by fifteen artists from La Plata. Tickets are “totally sold out” but, so that no one is left out, there will be an alternative.

The work will take place inside La Ferretería Bar Cultural, in a room with capacity for 120 people, but a large screen will be installed at the door so that those who pass by or have not obtained a ticket can enjoy it.

In addition, it will be broadcast live on the social networks of the cultural space, Lumpenbola and Entretantos Rock. It will have the “luxury” presence of Rocambole and Pato Galván.
