The Frente de Todos held the first meeting of its political table in a meeting that lasted for more than five hours and ended after 1:30 in the morning on Friday at the PJ party headquarters, which concluded with a speech by President Alberto Fernández and the dissemination of a document entitled “Democracy without proscriptions. Unity to transform”. The text was debated in detail by all the political, social and union spaces that make up the official coalition and in one of its key points, in the fifth paragraph, it makes explicit the commitment of those who make up the table to “order the necessary actions to prevent the proscription of fellow Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner”.

This statement underlines that the “leadership and electoral power” of the Vice President “cannot be taken away” from the voters of the FdT, and points to the Judiciary by stating that “there is not, or should not be, any economic, media or judiciary capable of deciding above the will of the people”. Another substantial point of the document warns that a “fundamental part of the strategy” of the ruling party will be to “reinforce unity in diversity”, for which it is proposed to “articulate the different perspectives of the FdT and also those who want to join this project for an Argentina that grows with peace, equality and freedom”.

In this sense, the FdT leaders who were at the Matheu 130 premises agreed that the resource to find a synthesis among this diversity will be the Open, Simultaneous and Compulsory Primaries (PASO). The 33 participants in the meeting agreed that this instance of participation created by law will be the best alternative to define the main candidacies of the ruling coalition, a plural and heterogeneous space that includes strong debates within it and does not hide its differences.

The 33 attendees at the headquarters of the national PJ reflected the different currents and positions of the ruling party, with the presence of around five members from each of the sectors that make up the FdT; among the main leaders were the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa; the referent of La Cámpora and president of the Buenos Aires PJ, Máximo Kirchner; the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo ‘Wado’ De Pedro; and the governors Axel Kicillof and Jorge Capitanich, among others.

In addition to those mentioned, they completed the list of 33 executive assistants who are trusted by the Head of State, such as the new Chief of Staff Agustín Rossi, Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero, Deputy Chief of Staff Juan Manuel Olmos and the Secretary General of the Chair, Julio Vitobello.

The Minister of Development of the Buenos Aires Community Andrés Larroque and Senator Anabel Fernández Sagasti participated in Kirchnerism, while the head of Aysa, Malena Galmarini, sat at the table for the Massa Renewal Front; the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Cecilia Moreau; the Minister of Transportation, Diego Giuliano; and the leaders Rubén Eslaiman and Juan Andreotti.

The representation of the governors was completed, in turn, with Gerardo Zamora (Santiago del Estero), Gustavo Bordet (Entre Ríos) and Mariano Arcioni (Chubut). Representing the mayors were Mario Secco, Fernando Espinoza and Mayra Mendoza, for the Third Electoral Section of the Buenos Aires suburbs, and Alberto Descalzo, Mariel Fernández and Lucas Ghi for the First Section. Among the unionists, the co-heads of the CGT, Héctor Daer and Pablo Moyano, attended, and Hugo Yasky, Sergio Palazzo and Abel Furlán were from the unionism close to Vice President Cristina Fernández.
