The death toll rises to 21 in a landslide in the Chinese city of Xi'an

It is being investigated whether the cause of this landslide is the torrential rains that last week wreaked havoc in the region

At least 21 people died and 6 are missing after a landslide in the municipal term of the northwestern city xi’an chinaaccording to the latest part of the authorities, published last night by the official Xinhua news agency.

The slide took place on Friday night in the Chang’an district of Xi’an shortly after heavy rain and flooding that devastated the province of Shaanxi.

According to the agency, 14 rescue groups that include almost a thousand people continue the search for the people who are still missing.

So far, 186 residents have been relocated and damaged roads have been repaired and the infrastructures to reactivate the electricity supply and telecommunications in the affected area.
