Expected for 2024, this final season should provide several elements of answers on the upside down and the destiny of the young heroes of the series. Still in the pre-production phase, season 5 is still very discreet, but recent statements by Noah Schnapp, the actor who has lent his features to Will since the first episodes, nevertheless allow us to see more clearly.

There is much speculation surrounding the future of the Hawkins gang. Several actors in recent seasons regret the “leniency” of the Duffer brothers vis-à-vis their characters and would like to see more deaths. Since his time spent in the upside down, Will is no longer really the same and struggles to rebuild himself in the real world. More present than ever during season 4, the young boy, forever linked to the parallel world that has invaded Hawkins, could well be the key to the salvation of the city, at the cost of an ultimate sacrifice. A way to close the loop started in 2016. Obviously, all of this is just speculation and we will have to wait for the release of this season 5 in 2024 to find out for sure.
