A man wanted by the FBI after uttering death threats on the Internet against the president of the United States, Joe Biden, has been killed during the operation launched early this Wednesday to try to achieve his arrest in the town of Provo, located in the state of Utah, authorities have reported.

The suspect, identified as Craig Deleeuw Robertson, was charged with three federal charges, including one for directly threatening the president. His target list also included relatives of Biden and other authorities, including former president Barack Obama, according to sources from the security services cited by CBS.

Last Sunday, Robertson published a message in which he alluded to Biden’s upcoming visit to Utah this Wednesday and announced that he would “dust off his M24 sniper rifle.” Court documents include photos of the suspect with these weapons and dressed in camouflage clothing.
