Miss Venezuela Ariana Viera, died in a traffic accident in the city of Orlando, Florida, after falling asleep at the wheel of her car.
The accident occurred on the night of July 13 when the young woman was returning home after fulfilling various work commitments. She fell asleep at the wheel and her car collided with the back of a truck, local media reported Thursday.
“My girl fell asleep. She was very tired,” lamented the model’s mother, Vivian Ochoa, in an interview with the chain Telemundo.
She explained that on the way to the hospital “they revived her, but when they were going to take her to trauma care, she stayed there.”
Apparently, the current Miss Venezuela suffered a heart attack after being revived.
Her mother clarified that she died when she collided with a truck near Lake Nona, in Orlando, after exhaustion overcame her and she fell asleep on the road, the channel said.
“I didn’t know that God had given me an angel. I didn’t know that God had given me a little piece of heaven for a very short time,” Ochoa said through tears.
The family fired the model and influencers 26-year-old Venezuelan in a private ceremony last week.
His father, who lives in Peru, obtained a humanitarian visa from the United States to attend the funeral.
Viera was going to represent Venezuela in the Miss America Latina pageant to be held in the Dominican Republic in October.
She also planned to participate in the Miss World 2023 contest that will be held in India in December.
Last May, Viera posted a video on her Instagram account where she filmed herself in different everyday situations and where she pretended that someone else was filming her.
“Recording myself for my future funeral because I’m always the one making the videos. Nobody else makes them,” a message on the video read.
