The film “Three Brothers” directed by Francisco J. Paparella was the winner of the highest award at the 45th edition of the Moscow International Film Festival, the Saint George for Best Film.

The jury defined her as “a film with a very strong story, great acting, visual design and all the elements that make up a thrilling and heartbreaking film”.

The film is a co-production between Argentina and Chile, its world premiere took place on April 13 in the official section (international competition) of the 37th edition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival. There he received the Special Jury Award.

The story revolves around the lives of three brothers, hunters and heavy metal fans, who must struggle with their personal problems in Argentine Patagonia. Nature takes center stage in the film, since in the plot, the neighboring river threatens his farm with floods that can ruin the harvest.

In dialogue with Télam, the director mentioned that: “It is a story with characters who have a hard time communicating, who do not know how to express themselves, who directly do not have the tools to relate to their feelings.” It is Paparella’s second film after Zanjas (2015).

The 87-minute film stars Andy Gorostiaga, Emanu Elish and Ulices Yanzón.
