The guest and conference house at the Glockengarten is the first sustainable hotel in the district. And, as the Evangelische Diakonieverein Zehlendorf, which runs the house, proudly writes: It is now officially “the first Christian conference hotel in Berlin that has not only made sustainable management and action its task, but has also had it certified by an independent examination board”. . The Berlin tourism agency visitBerlin had previously awarded the Zehlendorfer Haus a “High Performer” in its “Sustainable Meetings Berlin” program.

“The preservation of creation is firmly anchored in our mission statement,” says Jan Dreher, commercial director of the Evangelische Diakonieverein. A sustainability strategy and quality management have been developed for the guest company. Sustainable travel is becoming more and more important to tourists and business travelers due to climate change. However, the great demand meets only a few offers in the city, according to the Diakonieverein.

“For me and my team, sustainability is a personal obligation and a practical life task,” says Viola Henning, manager of the guest and conference center at the Glockengarten. The hotel at Glockenstraße 8 offers 43 rooms and various function rooms for up to 100 people.
