Expected for the month of June, The Flash will be the thirteenth feature film of the DCU. If Barry Allen has already appeared in it, it will be the first film primarily centered on his character. The production of The Flash will not have been a long calm river. As early as 2014, Warner announced that such a film would see the light of day… in 2018. At the time, Ezra Miller was already announced in the title role. The production is quickly delayed, and it is only in 2018 that two directors are formalized: John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. But both finally abandon the project following disagreements. Finally, it was after Andrés Muschietti and Christina Hodson joined the project, respectively as director and scriptwriter, that production was launched in earnest. And when we thought everything was finally settled, now the main actor, Ezra Miller, found himself involved in several disputes with the law.
And yet, after years of hardship and endless postponements, The Flash is finally getting ready to be released in June 2023. It would thus seem that the video game distribution giant GameStop plans to put on sale a limited edition collector’s box, on the occasion of the release of The Flash. This would contain a replica of Barry Allen’s ring, as well as a pin representing the famous logo associated with the superhero. GameStop being the parent company of Micromania, we can hope that this box – or another of the same style – will also appear in France. let’s remember that The Flash will be released in theaters on June 14, 2023.
