Available for several years on Xbox platforms, the Xbox loyalty program, renamed Microsoft Rewards in 2018, is a free program that rewards players for completing daily, weekly and monthly activities. The principle is simple, by clicking on pubs or by completing specific Game Pass quests (succeeding in killing x zombies in State of Decay 3, winning a game in Super Mega Baseball 3, etc.), the user collects points. Little by little, these points accumulate and can be converted into real euros thanks to gift cards of different values.. The player can then decide what he wants to do with his kitty by buying games, accessories, or by donating to associations.
The American giant waited until January 2023 to make some changes to the way points are awarded. It was via a tweet from Daniel Martins, loyalty marketing manager at Xbox, that fans of the brand at the big “X” learned the news. “One thing you’ll notice is that as you have fun playing Game Pass games, you’ll be rewarded even more.” he promises on Twitter.

The major changes to Game Pass quests are mainly based on two elements. The first comes from the way of earning certain points. In 2023, only weekly quests will require in-game quests, quests whose difficulty has been increased.
