Hisense has its new technology at CES 2023 ULED X introduced, which is intended for mini LED LCDs. It is to be used in televisions with up to 110 inches and control up to 5,000 dimming zones. In addition, peak brightness of up to 2,500 nits is possible. Essentially, ULED X is a successor to ULED, also a Hisense technology.
According to Hisense, ULED X uses a 16-bit algorithm to control the backlight. This should lead to improved dimming with greatly reduced blooming. However, Hisense also advertises features such as Wi-Fi 6E and support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. At CES 2023, the company also wants to show its first generation of LCDs from the UX series, which is based on ULED X. But there are no details yet.
