After the 6-1 defeat by a landslide against Newcastle, at St. James Park last weekend, the Tottenham footballers of England offered to return the money to the fans who attended the game they played away after the historic defeat that meant that after 21 minutes of play they were already losing 5-0.

“As a group, we understand your frustration, your anger. It wasn’t good enough. We know that words are not enough in situations like these, but believe us, a defeat like this hurts,” began the club’s post on its official Instagram social network account.

“We appreciate your support, home and away, and with this in mind, we would like to refund the fans the cost of their tickets for the game at St James’ Park. We know this does not change what happened on Sunday and we will give our all to set things right against Manchester United on Thursday night when, again, your support will mean the world to us. Together, and only together, we can make things move forward.”

The north London team is going through a very bad time, with the departure of Italian Antonio Conte from the position of coach and now the dismissal of interim coach Cristian Stellini after the painful defeat. Ryan Mason will be in command of the first team until it is resolved who will arrive as the new coach.
