The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) postponed the release of the inflation index for April amid the tension due to the escalation of prices.

The agency moved the date of departure of the variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from Friday May 12 to Monday May 15. From the INDEC they explained that the current official calendar was diagrammed prior to the announcement of the election dates in several provinces and consequently reports were detected that coincided with electoral closures, which forced several changes.

Other planned changes:

June: From Friday the 23rd to Wednesday the 28th, the report on sales in supermarkets, wholesalers and shopping centers is transferred. In this case, it goes to Wednesday because Monday the 26th already has three other scheduled reports.

October: The report on the trade balance is moved from Friday the 20th to Monday the 23rd because Sunday the 22nd will be the general elections.

November: The report on commercial exchange was moved from Friday, November 17 to Monday, November 20, because a possible ballotage would take place on Sunday, November 19.
