There is no doubt that The Last of Us series is a success for HBO, since it already has four episodes and the number of viewers has surprisingly increased week by week. The fourth episode of The Last of Us debuted in the US with 7.5 million viewers, up 17% from last week’s figures.

The Last of Us series was the most anticipated video game adaptation in a long time and its good reception has been attracting new viewers every week, something that is not common for a television series. The first episode of the series debuted with 4.7 million viewers and last week’s had reached 6.4 million, but this week it reached 7.5 million with the fourth episode of the season.

The first season of The Last of Us will feature nine episodes that will cover the entire story of the first game and its prequel, Left Behind, so it will be interesting to see if the number of viewers continues to increase until the end of the season. Meanwhile, HBO has already renewed the series and it is confirmed that it will have a second season, which is expected to adapt The Last of Us Part II.

Fortunately we won’t have to wait long for the next episode, as the fifth is going to be released ahead of time because the Super Bowl takes place on Sunday. For this reason, Episode 5 of The Last of Us will premiere on Friday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. PT / 8:00 p.m. CDMX.

The Last of Us series is also attracting new players but sadly Naughty Dog has just delayed The Last of Us Part I on PC. The remake of the first video game came to PlayStation 5 last year and was expected to arrive on PC in early March, but now it will arrive a few weeks after the first season of the series ends.
