Saint Charles of Bariloche will have municipal elections on September 3 and the phenomenon that led to Javier Miley to win the PASO ignited the enthusiasm of the libertarian space where Primero Río Negro and the group of young people from Seamos Futuro converge, who feel tributary to anger, the punishment of traditional politicians and the demands for root changes.
In Primero Río Negro, the party created by the mayor of Campo Grande, Ariel Riverowhich promotes the scientist, producer and entrepreneur Facundo Blanco Villalba to the Barilochense mayor, is where they most expect that victorious vote. “Bariloche mostly voted for a change, a renewal and the new. He rejected the old. The message was clear: he does not want the same as always, because it does not solve anything. Here that rebellion is only represented by us,” Blanco Villalba told Letter P.

The young lawyer considered that “the city was always governed by people with political experience. How is the city today? Fallen, abandoned, without a future. We are up to change that”.
The war of being libertarian
As soon as the waters of the Milei outbreak calmed down, in Bariloche the group led by Blanco Villalba and Rivero suffered an unusual public attack by three people who denied them as “libertarians” and tried to prohibit them from using the iconography and lexicons of this current.

In the team of the candidate for mayor of Bariloche and governor of Río Negro, Arabela Carreras, agreed to relativize the influence in the local election. “The message does not go unnoticed by anyone, it is very strong for everyone, but we do not see that it is going to favor anyone. They voted for Milei, as they had not done before with their candidates in different provinces, and in Bariloche Milei is not a candidate”, evaluated one of the main collaborators of the governor.
“Arabela’s candidacy is very solid, she walks the neighborhoods as she has always done for more than a decade and she recognizes herself with the neighbors. She and her people have always been there and offer a guarantee of protection in the face of the harsh national context, ”she added.
Carreras herself expressed, first of all, her alarm at the situation in the country after the elections, in her role as administrator of the province, and announced respect for the phenomenon of the ballot box. “The need for change is in Bariloche, the residents have their reasons to express discontent,” she said.
