League of Legends studio Riot Games has released a trailer for three new releases that will arrive during the year. You can see this at the top.

The three games are developed by different studios, but all are published by the publishing arm Riot Forge. All games are brought together under the umbrella concept A League of Legends Story, which signals that the story is in focus here.

We have seen two of the games before, but we also got a glimpse of a new game: The Mageseeker. This is being developed by Digital Sun, which is best known for the game Moonlighter from 2018. This title will be the first of the three, and can be expected this spring.

Double Stallion Games is responsible for Convergence, while Tequila Softworks takes care of Song of Nunu, both of which are titles we first got to see glimpses of in 2021.

Now we know that they are all scheduled to arrive within the year.

Mageseeker will then be the third game under the A League of Legends Story label, following the turn-based RPG Ruined King from Airship Syndicate, and Choice Provisions’ Hextech Mayhem – a rhythm-based platformer.

One of the few images from the new game The Mageseeker.

The game revolves around one of League of Legends’ most famous heroes, Sylas, who leads a rebellion against the tyranny of Demacia — a familiar story to those who have taken a deep dive into the Runeterra universe.

Little else is known, beyond a few images that show a “highly pixelated” 2D style with a recognizable League of Legends design.

None of these are directly related to Radiant Entertainment’s Project L, the “free-to-play” fighting game that we heard last fall was on the way.
